EASY & DELICIOUS Triple Chocolate Bundt Cake

Since I have started sharing a few of my favorite recipes--I realized that I HAD to share this one my good friend Janae' gave me.  It is my TRUSTY STAND-BY dessert whenever I need to whip up something quickly (And I always make sure to have these ingredients on hand).  The best part is that it is not only QUICK AND EASY--but it is also DELICIOUS!

So here it is:

Triple Chocolate Bundt Cake

1 Devils Food Cake Mix
1 small package of instant Chocolate Pudding
1 c Chocolate Chips
1 1/4 c water
1/4 c oil
2 eggs
1tsp vanilla

Mix all ingredients together.  Spoon batter into greased bundt pan.
Bake at 350 for 30-40 mins (or until the top springs back when pressed).
Cool for 10 mins in the pan--then flip it out onto platter.
Garnish and decorate as desired.  It looks nice with just a dusting of powdered sugar--or drizzled with chocolate sauce--(and an easy chocolate sauce is just a cup of chocolate chips heated with a 1/2 milk and whisked until smooth--yummy).

I like to add LOTS of Chocolate Chips
(even more than the recipe calls for--cause I just LOVE chocolate).

And here is one of my favorite ways to top a cake.  I got this recipe out of a Kraft Magazine--and I LOVE IT.  It produces the kind of fudge like frosting that you often will get on restaurant chocolate cakes.  The best part is--it is WAY easier than messing around with powdered sugar and butter and all of that for a regular frosting.

So with no further ado--here it is:

Fudge Frosting
1 tub whipped topping
1- 2 cups of chocolate chips

Place the chips in the bottom of a microwavable bowl.  Plunk out the frozen topping on top of the chips.  Microwave on high for 1 1/2 mins.  Stir until smooth.  You can then pour it over your cake or wait a few minutes till it has thickened and then spread it over your cake.  Either way it is EASY and DELICIOUS.

Spread it over the cake and add a few sliced almonds and it will look like this:


NOTE: I wanted to pour the frosting over the bundt cake--but I waited a little too long and it started to thicken--so then I ended up spreading it instead.  So this cake is a little more gloppy looking than I would have liked--but you get the idea.  And now you have the recipe. 

So go make some cake!

  3. In my house we always called this recipie
    "DEATH by CHOCOLATE". It tastes just sinful Never tried it in a bundt pan though. I will have to try that next time, it looks awsome.

  4. I made this oh so wonderful cake last night to celebrate the end of the first week of school-oh my goodness! This was the most delicious cake I have EVER made, and my family agreed that it will be, like yours, our "go-to" cake. We chose the fudgy icing-excellent pick. Swoon to the power of 100! Tastes upscale....costs retail!! AWWWW YEAH!
